Cycling Safaris in Kenya

Hell’s Gate National Park, a short drive from Lake Naivasha, is one of the few Kenyan parks where you can cycle among wildlife. Bikes are hired at the Elsa Gate and the main road through the park is flat and easy.

Ride past Fischer’s Tower and the cliffs to the gorge, then continue on foot with a guide. It is a favourite with families and groups of friends.

Tips

• Check the bike brakes before you set off.
• Start early to avoid the midday heat.
• Total riding is around 15–20 km on mostly flat ground.
