Our Terms of Service
Booking
Snapshot Tours and Safaris offers tailored experiences for local and international clients, including safari tours, cultural excursions, and more. Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total package cost. The balance must be paid no later than 30 days before departure. Late payments may result in cancellation without refund. International clients should ensure all necessary travel documents, including visas and health certificates, are in order before departure.
Payment Methods
We accept major credit cards, bank transfers, and mobile payments. All payments must be made in the currency specified in the invoice. Any transaction fees, such as bank transfer charges, are the responsibility of the client. Currency conversion rates at the time of booking will apply.
Modifications and Transfers
Changes to confirmed bookings must be requested in writing and are subject to availability. Any modifications made within 30 days of the tour date will incur a fee. Bookings can be transferred to another individual upon request, provided the transfer is made more than 14 days before the tour starts.
Cancellation
Clients may cancel their booking at any time by providing written notice to Snapshot Tours. However, cancellations are subject to the following refund policy:
- More than 60 days before the tour: 70% of the total package cost will be refunded.
- Between 30 and 60 days before the tour: 50% of the total package cost will be refunded.
- Less than 30 days before the tour: No refund will be provided.
Force Majeure
If the tour is canceled by Snapshot Tours due to unforeseen circumstances such as political instability, pandemics, or natural disasters, clients will be offered the choice between a full refund or rebooking for a later date. In such cases, Snapshot Tours is not liable for any additional costs incurred by the client, including visa or flight change fees.
Refund Process
Refunds will be processed within 30 days of receiving a cancellation request. Refunds will be issued in the same form as the original payment method. Any bank or transaction fees related to the refund will be deducted from the total amount refunded.
Liability
While Snapshot Tours and Safaris takes every precaution to ensure the safety and comfort of its clients, we are not responsible for personal injury, property loss, or damage sustained during the tour. It is mandatory for all clients, both local and international, to have comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical expenses, emergency evacuations, trip cancellations, and loss of personal belongings.
Insurance Requirements
Clients are required to provide proof of travel insurance before departure. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of the booking, with no refund. Clients are also responsible for ensuring that their insurance covers all activities they will participate in during the tour, including safaris and adventure excursions.
Exclusion of Liability
Snapshot Tours and Safaris is not liable for delays, changes in itinerary, or other issues caused by factors beyond our control, such as airline cancellations, weather conditions, or government restrictions. Clients must be aware of the risks involved in safaris, including encounters with wildlife, and participate in all activities at their own risk.
Dispute Resolution
All disputes arising out of or in connection with bookings made through Snapshot Tours and Safaris will be resolved amicably through direct negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, the dispute will be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration Act of Kenya.
Jurisdiction
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Kenya. Any legal proceedings related to this Agreement must be filed in Nairobi, Kenya. International clients agree to submit to the jurisdiction of Kenyan courts for any disputes arising from their booking with Snapshot Tours.
Arbitration Clause
Any disputes that cannot be resolved through negotiation will be settled by arbitration. The arbitrator’s decision is final, and the costs of arbitration will be shared equally by both parties, unless otherwise decided by the arbitrator. Legal costs incurred during arbitration will be borne by the party at fault.
